If I make meatloaf ahead and freeze it (not cooked yet). How do I cook the frozen meatloaf? Does it need to be defrosted before cooking? If it can go from freezer to oven, what temp and how long per pound?

The debate on covering your meatloaf can go both ways,my big sister used to bake meatloaf like you would uncover it leaves the outer sides a little crunchy and dry and the inside completely done (that’s when the oven worked well) then now today I been making meatloaf too, but then one day I discovered that when you use aluminum foil and cover it when cooking you’ll get a softer meatloaf, lots of water and juices because it almost like you boil a hamburger patty but remove the foil and bake for a good 20 minutes to brown and you’ll be the hero of the dinner party,ps I have to cook meatloaf covered now other wise the inside will be pink as undercooked,I also wonder when you bake a meatloaf covered wouldn’t the seasoning be washed out from the moisture under the foil?
