    Are Costco’s Stuffed Peppers Good?

Costco’s stuffed bell peppers are a perfect choice if you want delicious stuffed peppers without making them from scratch. If you like ground beef, tomato sauce, bell peppers, and cheese, then these are a pretty safe and winning bet. They have Parmesan cheese, on top so if you’re not a fan of Parmesan, take note, but honestly, the Parmesan flavor isn’t overly strong.

After you bake the stuffed peppers, you will taste the sweetness of the bell peppers as well as the flavors of the ground beef and seasonings. If you would love more cheese on top, you can add more cheddar or Parmesan before baking them. Costco’s stuffed peppers are a great choice for ready-made stuffed peppers.

Can I Bake Costco’s Stuffed Peppers?

The recommended way to cook Costco’s stuffed peppers is to bake them in the oven, however, you can also cook them in the microwave or air fryer. I recommend cooking them in the air fryer because this will cost you less time than the oven. Baking Costco’s stuffed peppers in the oven should take 1 hour or more at 350 F whereas baking them in the air fryer should take up to 35 minutes at 350 F.

Where to Buy Costco’s Stuffed Peppers

Costco’s stuffed peppers should be at all of their stores. The peppers come in a tray with six servings and currently cost $4.29 per Ib. With an average pan weight of 3.5 lbs, you can serve four people for just around $15.

    Costco’s Stuffed Peppers Ingredients

Costco’s stuffed peppers include three large sweet bell peppers which are cut into halves and cleaned with the seeds removed. Then, they are stuffed with a mixture containing cooked ground beef, tomato paste, water, cooked rice, mozzarella cheese, provolone cheese, Parmesan cheese, vinegar, onions, sugar, salt, and fresh parsley.

Here is an ingredient list according to Costco:

STUFFED PEPPER FILLING (TOMATO PUREE [TOMATO PASTE, WATER, CITRIC ACID], WATER, LONG GRAIN PARBOILED RICE [LONG GRAIN RICE, FERRIC PHOSPHATE, NIACIN, THIAMINE MONONITRATE, FOLIC ACID], DISTILLED VINEGAR [WHITE VINEGAR, WATER], ONION, SUGAR, SALT, RED PEPPERS, GREEN PEPPERS, BROWN SUGAR [SUGAR, INVERT SUGAR, CANE MOLASSES], SPICES, DEHYDRATED ONION, GARLIC, MOLASSES), COOKED GROUND BEEF, RED BELL PEPPER, YELLOW BELL PEPPER, ORANGE BELL PEPPER, SHREDDED MOZZARELLA AND PROVOLONE CHEESES (PASTEURIZED MILK, CHEESE CULTURE, SALT, ENZYMES, POWDERED CELLULOSE AND DEXTROSE [TO PREVENT CAKING]), SHREDDED PARMESAN CHEESE (PASTEURIZED PART? SKIMMED COW’S MILK, CHEESE CULTURES, SALT, ENZYMES), DRIED PARSLEY.

How Long Do You Cook Costco’s Stuffed Peppers?

Cooking Costco’s stuffed peppers will take between 50 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes and that’s because the cooking duration depends on the temperature you will use. If you cook the peppers at 400 F, they may take 1 hour or less, and if you cook the peppers at 350 F, they should take more than 1 hour.

The Best Temperature to Cook Costco’s Stuffed Peppers

The recommended temperature to cook Costco’s stuffed peppers is 400 F according to the information on the package. Costco’s Kirkland Signature Stuffed Bell Peppers should be baked at 400 F for 50 to 55 minutes!

However, you can cook the peppers at 350 F like I did as longer cooking can make the peppers sweeter. You can also cook the peppers uncovered for 15 or 20 minutes so that they brown.

How to Cook Costco’s Stuffed Peppers in the Oven

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
    2. Remove the plastic lid from the tray of Costco’s stuffed peppers.
    3. Place the peppers on a baking sheet, cover them with aluminum foil, and place them in the oven.
    4. Bake the stuffed peppers for about 50 minutes or until an internal temperature of 165 F is reached.
    5. If you want the stuffed peppers to become softer and sweeter with browned tops, remove the aluminum foil and cook the peppers for about 15 minutes, making sure that the internal temperature doesn’t pass 185 F.

Cooking Costco’s stuffed peppers in the oven takes about 50 minutes to 1 hour at 350 F.

How to Cook Costco’s Stuffed Peppers in the Microwave

    1. Remove the stuffed peppers from the box and place them on a microwave-safe plate.
    2. Place in the center of the microwave.
    3. Cook on high for about 15 minutes.
    4. Check that the internal temperature has reached 160 F. If the peppers need more time, give them an extra 5 minutes and check again. Then, keep adding 5-minute intervals if the peppers still need more time.
    5. Serve and enjoy.

Cooking Costco’s stuffed peppers in the microwave will take about 15 to 25 minutes.

How to Cook Costco’s Stuffed Peppers in the Air Fryer

    1. To cook Costco’s stuffed peppers, preheat the air fryer at 350 F for 10 minutes.
    2. Place the stuffed peppers in the air fryer basket, close the lid tightly, and cook them for 15 minutes.
    3. Check the internal temperature of the peppers, giving more time if needed.
    4. Carefully remove the stuffed peppers from the air fryer with a metal spatula or tongs to avoid spilling.
    5. Serve and enjoy.

Cooking Costco’s stuffed peppers in the air fryer takes about 10 to 30 minutes.

    Recipe Tips:

    • You will know that Costco’s stuffed peppers are cooked when the internal temperature reaches 165 F.
    • To make Costco’s stuffed peppers softer and sweeter, and brown the tops more, bake them for an extra 10 to 15 minutes. The temperature shouldn’t exceed 185 F.
    • Make sure to check the internal temperature 10 minutes before the recommended time has elapsed and keep checking the temperature every 10 minutes.
    • Add more grated Parmesan/cheddar for a cheesier flavor.
