So, I’ve covered shoveling snow (and crappy electric snow blowers) and how to be your own vacuum sealer but I have yet to do any sort of craft blog. This is most likely due to my not being super crafty; thank heavens I have daughters who love to cut, paste, glue, paint, sketch and create lots and lots of crap treasures.
Today Madison is going to show you how to make these super cute pipe cleaner flower rings. Apparently pipe cleaner jewelry is nothing new; you can find entire blogs dedicated to pipe cleaner crafts (e.g., The Pipe Cleaner Lady). My favorite are the solid red pipe cleaner roses with green pipe cleaner leaves, but you could tailor these to whatever holiday/occasion you’d like. Go pastel for Easter; pink, red and white for Valentine’s Day; red, white and blue for 4th of July; or all orange pipe cleaners with black pipe cleaner “leaves.” You can even throw in some sparkly pipe cleaners as the center of your ring. The possibilities are fuzzily endless!
Take it away, Madison!
Vlog #3: The one about pipe cleaner flower rings
P.S. The inspiration for this vlog came from a teacher at church who was inspired by Martha Stewart’s pipe cleaner flower ring craft. I also found these fun pipe cleaner jewelry flowers on Martha’s site.
P.P.S. George also wanted to be the star of a how-to video, so here’s his 20 seconds of fame. I like to call it “The Hot Wheels Rainbow Song.” Enjoy!
Do you ever craft with pipe cleaners? My only other experience is creating holiday ornaments using pipe cleaners and stacking beads…you know, like these.
