A Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Voyager Class review...with George's help.
After my kids had gone through all the My Little Pony episodes thanks to Netflix (Friendship is magic!), I wondered what they'd start watching next. It shouldn't have surprised me George would go for the new Transformers cartoon, but I didn't expect it to be Livi's choice as well. Who knew?
When an opportunity came up to review a piece from the new Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Voyager Class, I was all over it. I knew George would absolutely love owning a Transformer (his first ever...sad but true), and I had a feeling Nathan would get a kick out of it as well.
I was correct on both accounts.
All I can say is it's a good thing Nathan left the Diet Coke unopened.
But back to George, the true tester of the Optimus Prime. We pulled the toy from the box and had it ready for play in record time due to minimal twist ties (thank you, Hasbro).
The instructions looked pretty intense but George had no problem attaching the weapons to Optimus Prime...and launching the missiles across my kitchen.
When it came to converting Optimus Prime from robot to truck, we did have to call in reinforcements (i.e., our resident geek).
Here's a quick video showing how excited George was to test out his new Transformer—and how enamored he was with the detachable weapons.
George really did need help converting it from Beast Hunter to truck and visa versa, though he is the one who figured out how to attach the weapons while the Transformer was in truck mode. (The instructions were seriously lacking for this step.)
I asked George what he thought of the new Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Voyager Class and here's what he had to say:
- It was great!
- The best part was to transform it and play with it.
- It was fun to play with the missiles. I liked how they shot out of the weapons.
- I made a snake monster and the Transformer was the hero.
- You should buy it.
You should buy it. They really are pretty cool.
