Disclosure: Snugg sent me a Snugg iPad 2 Executive case in exchange for this review. All thoughts, opinions and cute business cards slipped inside the cover are 100 percent mine.
Okay, so I can’t back that up with any official data because iPads generally don’t recommend products, but I’m here to tell you MY iPad 2 is a huge fan of Snugg iPad cases.
When I received my iPad 2 a couple Christmases ago, I immediately went online looking for the perfect iPad cover. A Twitter friend recommended Snugg, and knowing him to be a very smart man, I took his recommendation and purchased a Snugg iPad 2 case in black leather.
That baby has kept my iPad well protected considering George and Livi use it (and abuse it) more than I’d like to admit. Only recently has it started showing signs of wear at the bottom where the stitching has come undone:
Fortunately Snugg offers a lifetime guarantee, but I paid no mind because I was tired of the black and ready for something a bit more playful…you know, something in hot pink. Good thing Snugg was willing to oblige and sent me their Snugg iPad 2 Executive case in hot pink to review.
It was love at first sight because I could tell Snugg had improved their cases’ design and durability. The leather on this iPad case felt thicker and the overall construction improved. The velvet-like inner lining is a lot sleeker on the new cover. I hope this means less crumbs caught between Pad and cover.
You’d think with such awesome reviews on Amazon.com, there would be little room for improvement. I have high hopes this 2013 model will last longer than my 2011 one.
I did discover why 1 out of 10 iPads wouldn’t recommend the Snugg iPad 2 Executive case: it lacks holes where the iPad 2 speaker is located:
It’s already a bit tricky to hear at times, and with the lack of speaker holes it gets even trickier. I may need to buy a SoundBender to make up for it.
I admit, I’ve wanted one of those ever since I saw the pitch on Shark Tank.
My favorite details on the new iPad 2 Executive cover? The inside pockets for any and all cards, the flip stand and sleep/wake functionality (which seems to work even better on this case than my old one).
Every time I see my iPad in its hot pink Snugg iPad case, it makes my heart super happy. Hot pink does that to me, what can I say? And I know if my kids drop my iPad yet again, it is well protected.
I’ve never trusted those flimsy iPad covers…or “pansy covers” as I like to call them.
By the way, Snugg offers much more than iPad cases and covers; they also have tablet, smartphone and Kindle cases. And right now, nearly all cases and covers are on sale. The Snugg iPad 2 Executive cover I have is $10 off!
Isn’t it about time your iPad were Snugg and sound? (Cue Capital Cities…)
