    Shrimp Chimichangas Ingredients

    • ⅓ lb shrimp
    • ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1 can whole pinto beans, drained
    • 4 large/burrito size flour tortillas
    • Vegetable oil For Frying

    Tacos Seasoning

    • 1 tablespoon chili powder
    • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
    • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
    • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
    • ½ teaspoon paprika
    • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon black pepper

    How To Make Shrimp Chimichangas

    1. Prepare the shrimp by peeling and removing all the inside stuff. I suggest buying ready peeled shrimp, it's easier and a time saver.
    2. You can choose to cut the shrimp into small or medium pieces because this will be the tortilla stuffing.
    3. Season the shrimp with Tacos seasoning or any of your favorite.
    4. Heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and fry their shrimp until cooked, about 2 to 3 minutes.
    5. Put the tortillas on a plate, cover them with a damp paper towel, and heat them in the microwave for 1 or 2 minutes.
    6. Drain the pinto beans and heat them in the microwaves for 2 minutes.
    7. Place the tortillas into a large plate and fill every tortilla with cheddar cheese, beans, and cooked shrimp.
    8. Roll the tortilla, make sure you don't overfill to let the tortilla roll easily.
    9. Heat about 3 tablespoons vegetable oil for 3 min. Make sure the oil is hot enough by checking with a piece of tortilla, when it starts frying immediately, it’s ready.
    10. Fry the Shrimp Chimichangas for about 2 mins for each side, until golden brown and super crispy.
    11. Remove from oil and drain with tawer paper.
    12. Serve Hot with Mayo, ketchup, and fries.

    How To Store Shrimp Chimichangas

    In The Fridge:

Properly stored Shrimp Chimichangas can last 3 to 4 days in the fridge.

Once you've done cooking shrimp chimichanga and you have some leftovers, you can store them in the fridge by wap them with a plastic wrapper, heavy-duty aluminum foil, or glass containers then place int the fridge.

    In The Freezer:

You can freeze shrimp chimichangas and last for up to 3 months. I recommend you to use glass containers for frozen purposes because they store the food and save the taste in the freezer better than plastic bags.

    How To Reheat Shrimp Chimichangas

Reheat Shrimp Chimichangas (not frozen) in the microwave for about 15 min at 300°F. You can also reheat them in the air fryer for about 5 to 7 min at 300°F. Or just for 3 min in the microwave.

If you will reheatShrimp Chimichangas in the air fryer, make sure to spray some oil on the Chimichangas to get them crispy.

    Reheat Frozen Shrimp Chimichangas:

For frozen Chimichangas, you can thaw them overnight in the fridge, or simply place them in the microwave for 5 to 7 min. I highly recommend you to thaw them in the fridge before, this will avoid burning them while reheating from frozen.
