I received an electronic copy of Save Money, Eat Better for this review. Post may include affiliate links to help support my Diet Coke habit.
As you know, I’m always honest with you, my dear readers. I’ve admitted to disliking traditional school fundraisers, not discriminating when it comes to baked goods and even how not awesome sex is on a memory foam mattress. Today I have another confession: my family doesn’t eat as healthy as they should because it seems so dang expensive to do so. All those fresh fruits and vegetables, fancy sugars and flours and large tubs of coconut oil add up, so I do the non-healthy thing and stick with white sugar, all-purpose flour (though I do buy non-GMO and local) and canola oil.
We do have a tub of our favorite coconut oil in the bathroom because it’s Nathan’s preferred moisturizer.
I also count Stretch Island fruit leathers as a side dish at dinner. They’re 100% natural after all.
Fruit leather aside, I’m pretty sure my blogging friends at Freebies2Deals and Super Healthy Kids had me in mind when they created their new eBook, Save Money, Eat Better. The new cookbook combines Melea’s mad skills at finding the best deals with Amy’s and Natalie’s passion for healthy living and kid-friendly recipes.
With recipes like oven-baked teriyaki casserole, cheesy green quesadillas and smoky pumpkin mac ‘n cheese, Save Money, Eat Better is chock full of healthy recipes the entire family will enjoy…and your budget will appreciate. The new eBook includes:
- 45 recipes from breakfast to dinner that use in-season foods to help you save money.
- An extensive list of fruits and vegetables that are in-season throughout the year.
- How to keep track of price points with your groceries to know you are always getting a deal.
- How to grow herbs indoors and which ones thrive in an indoor climate.
- 7 fruits and vegetables you can easily grow and are cheaper to grow yourself.
- 12 game-changing, money-saving tips and tricks.
- How to score produce coupons for even greater savings.
Save Money, Eat Better retails for $14.99 BUT you can get it for only $9.99 until November 21st if you use my exclusive coupon code “mylife.”
