Thanks to a long day at the BYU Broadcasting Studio with a group of extras waiting our turn to be filmed for the new “On Top of the World” video by Imagine Dragons, I nearly skipped spin class this morning. But because I knew I’d be feeding my exhaustion with lots of fun-size Twix candy bars and a frozen coconut chocolate chip cookie from Paradise Bakery, I dragged myself to the gym. And I’m so glad I did because the teacher played Drugstore Montmartre by Sarah W Papsun.
Sarah W Papsun — “Drugstore Montmartre”
This song was purchased on iTunes only moments ago and immediately added to my workout playlist. Let me know if you’ll be adding it to yours.
And yes, it the name of the band totally threw me for a loop; the song is sung by a male vocalist.
Speaking of Imagine Dragons, if you haven’t heard “On Top of the World,” here’s a listen:
Of course that’s not the official video. That will be released in the next few weeks and you’ll for sure see it here complete with a time stamp or two of my (hopefully) 5 seconds of fame as an extra.
FYI, Dan Reynolds is hot. So is Matt Eastin, the video’s director.
Previous spin class faves:
- “Safe and Sound” by Capital Cities
- “Faster” by Matt Nathanson
- “Something Beautiful” by The Newsboys
- “Lollipop” by MIKA
- “White Sky” by Vampire Weekend
