A is for Apple, a Sesame Street Cereal flavor.
B is for Big Bird, one of my most favorite Sesame Street characters. (Oscar the Grouch is at the top of the list.)
C is for Cutest Boxes Ever. Duh.
And S is for Strawberry.
Unless S is for Sugar and how very little is found in Post Sesame Street Cereal. Perhaps that’s why the first thing Olivia asked when she sampled Big Bird’s new S is for Strawberry was if she could have a tiny bit of sugar on it.
I’d have done the same thing if I had a bowlful.
Don’t get me wrong…I adore the fact that Sesame Street Cereal has around 100 calories, at least 20 grams of whole grains and only 1 gram of sugar per serving, but it does make for one super healthy tasting cereal.
We gave a few of Elmo’s A is for Apple Xs and Os to my friend’s 10-month-old and she thoroughly enjoyed them. I’m pretty sure all toddlers would eat these by the double fistful if given the chance, especially if they’re Sesame Street fans. I’m just not sure my older kids will be asking for seconds.
I’m guessing they’ve had far too many servings of Honey Bunches of Oats (emphasis on the honey) will do that.
But for moms of little ones, I would totally recommend keeping a box in your pantry or a bagful in your purse. The new line of Post Sesame Street Cereal is super toddler friendly:
Specially formulated to meet a growing toddler’s needs, all three varieties—A is for Apple, B is for Banana, S is for Strawberry—provide 2/3 of a toddler’s daily whole grains per serving with only 1 gram of sugar. Parents will feel good letting little ones eat the cereal, which melts away for safe and easy consumption. Additionally, the fun X and O shapes are specifically designed for little fingers to grasp.
And how can you not love a cereal that’s healthy AND features the cutest Sesame Street characters? I mean, really.
If only Cookie Monster’s B is for Banana were really B is for Big Ol’ Cookies…
