My Job Chart or grumpy mom voice?
In our family we don’t have a system when it comes to chores. I once tried an Excel spreadsheet of sorts but it didn’t last long. (It’s probably still behind the fridge somewhere.) My current way to ensure chores get done is to use a grumpy voice while reminding the kids to clean their rooms, remove dirty socks from the floor and carry their dishes from the kitchen island to the sink (an impossible distance of maybe five feet).
The reward? Food on the table, clothes on their backs and a roof over their heads.
With four kids ages 5 to 15, it’s getting harder to keep track of who’s done what and more exhausting to keep on top of the kids to keep on top of their chores. With how “connected” they are, I’m thinking My Job Chart offers an intriguing way to maintain what sanity I have left.
My Job Chart is the free, easy-to-use online chore chart and reward system for teaching, organizing and motivating kids to save, share and spend responsibly. Basically kids log in, do chores and earn points to save, spend or share. With over 273,000 users and growing, My Job Chart might be the best thing since sliced bread pebble ice.

Gotta love the girl in the middle of her messy room with the “who made this big mess?” look on her face.
So did you catch the vision of My Job Chart? I’m thinking my kids won’t love the chores but they will LOVE the rewards system.
I have my eye on a new Coach bag…I wonder if I can set up my own rewards page. I’m tempted to see if I can add “drink Diet Coke,” “eat chocolate” and “go to lunch with a friend” to my chore list.
