Vlog #4: The one about how to fold a fitted sheet

June 30, 2011 by Emily Hill 17 Comments

Perhaps I should re-title this post “The one about my sorta sneaky way to fold a fitted sheet and keep your sheet sets together so you’re not looking everywhere for matching pillowcases.” That title would more aptly describe this non-Martha Stewart way of folding a fitted sheet. Whatever you call it, it totally works!

P.S. Yes, I call the fitted sheet a flat sheet at one point. I think this was the third or fourth video and I was lucky to get the word “sheet” out without it sounding like something else.

…
Past vlogs:

  • The one about pipe cleaner flower rings (& Hot Wheels cars)
  • The one about being your own vacuum sealer
  • The one about shoveling snow

Great idea! I’ve always stored them seperately.

I did too until someone told me this tip forever ago. Now I’ll never go back!

I used to just fold and tuck in the pillowcase to hide the unneatly folded sheet. This seems like a better method. I’m just grateful I’m not trying one of those Martha S. techniques for folding it perfectly.

I’ve found the only good way to make them neat is with a partner anyway. Which leaves me free to not wash sheets on days he works. Bonus.

Now that’s another good trick! Of course, I like the one about only folding when you have a partner…

The grass is always greener…but my grass has really crappily folded sheets, infact they’re just shoved into the matching pillowcase. *ehem*

You know what I do…just wash the sheets, wait for them to dry, and put them back on…eliminating any folding. :)

That works too! (I admit, I may use that trick once in a while as well…)
