I love nothing more than snacking on bite-size Twix and mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, but my metabolism isn’t getting any younger and I’m finding my scale loves nothing more than going up when I do so. I’ve got to find some healthier snack options but they have to taste good or I’ll go right back to not-so-healthy leftover holiday candy.
Gotta love lengthy expiration dates!

Bet you didn’t know popcorn has the right amount of whole grains and fiber to help with that whole healthier snack option thing. Unfortunately, I don’t love eating popcorn unless it’s kettle cor—that salty-sweet combination gets me every time! But a girl can eat only so much kettle corn before hitting kettle-corn burnout, so I wanted to come up with another salty-sweet combination healthier than those dang addictive peanut butter cups.

And I totally did. This healthy peanut butter pretzel popcorn combines JOLLY TIME Crispy White Naturally Flavored Pop Corn with natural peanut butter, mini pretzels and a handful of M&M’S for a healthy snack that totally satisfies my sweet tooth. I know because it went through some pretty rigorous taste testing…
If you want to boost the antioxidants, you could always use dark chocolate M&M’S instead of milk chocolate. I thought of throwing in a cup or two of raisins but my kids aren’t fans and I’d end up eating the entire ginormous bowl by myself.

The star of this popcorn mix is JOLLY TIME Pop Corn. When it comes to choosing a healthier popcorn option, you should totally consider grabbing a box of Healthy Pop from JOLLY TIME. It’s a fiber-filled, low-calorie popcorn that actually tastes great and is perfect for after-school (or anytime) snacking. Did you see they have kettle corn and butter and they’re only 20 calories per 1-cup serving? Mind blown.
