Kalli is one of the reasons I enjoy reading my girlfriends’ blogs. She is funny, honest, sassy, real (I say that a lot about my friends…and that’s why they’re my friends) and writes short-yet-sweet posts that remind me of important things like the true meaning of Easter.
Of course I didn’t forget what Easter is all about, but it may have gotten lost somewhere among the large grocery sack of Jelly Belly jelly beans, Reese’s miniatures, Play-Doh-filled eggs and marshmallow Peeps. (I’m currently hooked on the Jet-Puffed BunnyMalllows…)
So thank you, Kalli, for reminding me to focus not on how quickly I can hide my favorite Easter candy from the kids but on the deep gratitude I have for Jesus Christ, His Atonement and the deep and unconditional love He has for me (which I need. a lot.). He is my Savior, my Redeemer and my friend.
No matter your religious affiliation, I think you’ll enjoy the Mormon Message that served as the beautiful reminder I needed.
