Have I told you how much our family loves chips and salsa? We love it so much, I always keep an extra bag or two of tortillas chips in our food storage. If the end of the world comes, we want to be prepared. Of course, your standard tortilla chip doesn’t offer much in the way of nutritional value. That’s why I’m thinking of adding in a bag or two (or three) of Green Giant™ Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips in Garden Ranch. They may not equal a full serving of vegetables but I can pretend they do. And then use them to barter during that crazy end-of-the-world thing because I’m sure they’ll fetch a high price.
I may even be able to trade them for Diet Coke.
If you know me at all, you know I’m all about justification when it comes to food. Green Giant™ chips feature veggies AND the stamped approval of the Green Giant himself; they’re basically the valedictorian of tortilla chips. If tortilla chips went to school, that is.
Don’t get me wrong. These veggie chips aren’t a replacement for your daily servings of fruits and vegetables.; you still need to polish those off every meal (or at least make your kids do so). But if you want to feel better about the pounds of chips and salsa you consume each day, consume Green Giant veggie chips in there somewhere.
Here are the Green Giant™ veggie chips we sampled:
You can probably tell which were my favorite—I’ve pretty much written an entire post about the Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips in Garden Ranch. And I pretty much ate half the bag while photographing them. But the Green Giant™ Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips in Barbecue weren’t bad. In fact, my friend Lindsey says they’re a family favorite and that’s endorsement enough for anyone.
Next time you grill up those burgers, throw in a few handfuls of Green Giant™ Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips. They may not taste quite as decadent greasy indulgent good as the classic barbecue chip but they’re much better for you. And as I approach 40 next year, I’m kinda into that much better for you thing.
With school starting in just a couple weeks, I’m always on the lookout for healthy after-school snacks and these Green Giant™ veggie chips would fit the bill. Throw them alongside these cheese and pepperoni stackers and mini banana sliders and you’ll have some seriously happy kids.
Or a seriously happy husband—he loves snacking just as much as his six-year-old.

Maybe I need to try the veggie tortilla chips, it may be the only way I eat any vegetables.

I consider marinara sauce on pizza to be veggies, so I’m with you on that.

Thank you for giving me at least one reason to look forward to moving back home from Germany. We don’t have veggie chips here. I must say this would help my husband’s addiction to tortilla chips, maybe he would actually eat a vegetable. And if I count village inn that gives me two reasons. Who needs schnitzel anyway?
Emily Hill
Um, that is probably bottom on a long list of reasons to return.
