I’m thoroughly enjoying the little break I’m taking from the virtual world. I have dropped in here and there (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) but overall I’m taking it super easy until my sanity is backb100%…or at least around 75% or so. You won’t read much on ITRML this week because I’m heading to girls camp with my daughter. Monday and Tuesday will be spent checking items off the packing list (it’s a doozy!) and taking last-minute runs to the store for all the items we don’t have on said packing list.
Me? I don’t do the camping thing unless you consider a timeshare condo at Bear Lake camping. I don’t like to be cold, I DO like to shower and for some reason mosquitoes think I’m an all-you-can-eat buffet no matter how many gallons of bug repellent I wear. Of course this is my daughter’s first year going, and so for that reason I’m going to brave eating tin-foil dinners and sleeping in a tent amidst a group of giggly girls. (Anyone know where I put those earplugs from youth conference years ago?) Let’s just hope they have flushing toilets.
If I survive I will be back posting next week but will easy myself back into it. Going offline is rather enjoyable once you get past those early withdrawals. After this week perhaps it will finally feel like summer vacation (if the weather decides to cooperate and hit a high of over 70 for once).
Love to you all!
P.S. Anyone else heading to girls camp this year? And if so, are you up until all hours making 25 headbands for a Pink Panther skit?
P.P.S. I am so not crafty and am still questioning the wisdom of the skit’s coordinator to have me make 25 pink-ribbon-wrapped-complete-with-foam-ears headbands.
P.P.P.S. I ran out of pink ribbon tonight and get to add a run to Roberts Crafts to my list of last-minute girls camp errands. Yay, me!
P.P.P.P.S. Working with hot glue makes me think naughty words sometimes, but at least I don’t say them, especially on the Sabbath.
P.P.P.P.P.S. Save me!
P.P.P.P.P.P.S. Handmade Pink Panther headbands coming soon to an Etsy shop near you!
