Fabulous Father’s Day appetizers

June 13, 2013 by Emily Hill 12 Comments

If it were up to me, dinner most nights would be an assortment of appetizers. I love finger foods and I love variety. Of course I don’t love a lot of prep work and rarely plan ahead, so appetizers as dinner never happens…unless it’s a family party (like the one we’re having this Father’s Day) and I fill up on hot artichoke dip with a side of chips and cowboy salsa before the chicken is off the grill.

My sister has requested this caprese bites with tangerine fig balsamic for Father’s Day dinner and I’m happy to oblige.

Speaking of appetizers, Father’s Day is a great time to whip up a batch of hearty finger foods. Here is a roundup of appetizers Nathan would—or already does—love.

I am so with you on having an assortment of bites instead of one big meal. Maybe we need to put that philosophy into action in real life soon? Happy dad’s day!

For New Years every year, my family gets together and has a big appetizer party. I’m thinking this is a great idea for Father’s Day, too. Great call!! And thanks for the link – you are the best!

Ok, I’ll start with the Caprese Bites, the Mini Mac and Cheese Bites and of course the Cowboy Salsa. Give us about 10 minutes and then we’ll order the entrées.

    Thanks
