It’s only been a few months since my first eBay What’s in YOUR closet? post and yet I have another couple bagfuls of treasures ready to list. That whole “one in, one out” rule fell be the wayside over the holidays (and during some post-holiday sale shopping), so it’s time to do a little decluttering yet again.
To be honest, it’s hard getting started after the adventure/chore/exhaustion that was The Great Declutter, but after I pulled everything out and whipped up this little video for you, I’m rarin’ and ready to go.
Or at least revisiting the whole listing 20+ items on eBay thing. I did see some fab Betsey Johnson stilettos I totally want need.
I hope you enjoy this little video. (You can totally tell I was self videoing. Sorry.)
I bet you’ve never seen a toddler dress with quite so many frills…or my face with quite so many zits. Yep, the video is pretty professional. And by professional I mean “so totally amateur, it’s sad.”
What really got me thinking about selling wasn’t just the lack of space in my hanging shoe organizers; it was eBay’s new interactive Selling Inspiration House.
Click on a room in the Selling Inspiration House and then click on the various pop-up icons to get ideas for items you could easily sell on eBay. You’ll see the average selling price and be able to check how much that type of item has sold for lately.
For example, we all know electronics like digital cameras and gadgets sell well, but did you know computer components do too? The same goes for kids’ clothes—name brand apparel and shoes sell really well, but costumes are also a big seller with deluxe costumes selling for up to $55. Who knew?
So if your clothes closet looks like this:
…you may want to go on a little treasure hunt in the next couple weeks. You’ll be able to give those new and gently used items a good home while stashing away money for that family trip to Disneyland.
Oh, how I love multitasking.
