And long-time readers, remember back in May, 2009 when I visited my BFF LeShan in Orlando? (You’ll want to click that link just to see the photo. It’s almost blackmail worthy.)
Well, it’s been over two years since I last saw LeShan (WAY too long, in my opinion), so when eBay asked if I could attend their eBay On Location event in Orlando, I was all over it. I wanted to ask Nathan if I could stay through the weekend, but I didn’t dare knowing we’d be in St. George the weekend before and in Vegas the weekend after. But somehow the fates aligned and he suggested it all on his own. (He wasn’t even high off post-sex endorphins.)
So yesterday and today I’ve been in almost-sunny, very humid (hello, frizzy, curly bangs) Orlando learning how to be an awesome eBay ambassador, media interviews included. I’ve had a great time with the other eBay Parent Panel members learning, tweeting, eating, playing and drinking. (I was the designated driver with my Shirley Temple in hand.) Later today it will end and tonight LeShan will pick me up. That’s when the real party will begin.
And by real party I mean giggling like schoolgirls, eating a lot of crap, sleeping in, going to the beach, drinking lots of Diet Coke and throwing in a bit of shopping. We can fit all that into two days, right?
P.S. I’ve been tweeting a ton of the fab tips and info—from media to SEO to taxes—I learned at eBay On Location. You can check my Twitter stream or search the hashtags #ebayOL or #ebayparent for all my deep thoughts. You’ll find other eBay Parent Panel members’ deep thoughts as well. What can I say? We all love The Twitter.
