Cream cheese is the secret to making these soft and chewy pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.

  • 1 (15.25-oz) package Pillsbury Perfectly Pumpkin cake mix
  • ½ cup salted butter, softened
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Beat butter, vanilla, egg and cream cheese until fluffy (about 2 to 3 minutes).
  3. Add cake mix and beat until combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto nonstick cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until just set.
  6. Cool 2 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
