Diet-to-Go rocks fresh diet delivery

January 3, 2013 by Emily Hill 14 Comments

I was skeptical about a diet delivery program offering meals that didn’t look like something found in the back of the fridge (or taste like cardboard with a side of paste).

But Diet-to-Go has totally done it. They’ve made life—and sticking to a healthy diet—a whole lot easier with menus sure to please even the pickiest palates.

I know because I sampled six meals and liked them all. No lie.

I’ll be honest. I don’t have a lot of weight to lose. I work out regularly with a regimen that includes spinning, yoga, Pilates and LeanMoms so you’d think I’d be good. Unfortunately it’s 80% diet and 20% exercise and diet is my weakness.

I love food and have a hard time sticking to a menu plan if it means I have to shop for and prep the food…and I’m eating the same food repeatedly. But if someone has it all planned and prepped for me—and delivers it right to my door—how can I fail?

Okay, keeping a cupboard full of Candy Cane Joe-Joe’s might sabotage my efforts a bit but I can’t resist.

…

I’ve been tempted by other diet delivery services but never enough to make the commitment. They’re either cost prohibitive ($50 per day…what the what?!?) or the food is so inedible, people lose weight because they can’t gag them down.

Diet-to-Go’s menus are both affordable and delicious, but there’s so much more to love about them:

  • Recently rated the #1 diet delivery company by Epicurious.
  • Most inexpensive FRESH diet delivery service on the market.
  • 3 unique menus (low-fat, vegetarian and low-carb) and 20 menu plans.
  • No cancellation fees or gimmick pricing.
  • No commitment or contract.
  • 100% satisfaction guarantee.

…
I’m pretty sure you can’t say that about the other diet delivery services out there. In fact, you can see a quick comparison here.

So what can you expect to arrive at your door when you sign up for one of the Diet-to-Go menu plans? How about a cooler packed to the brim with meals prepared fresh in-house:

We’re talking tasty dishes like the ones you see pictured in this post, all photographed in my kitchen after a quick 2-minute prep.

Two. Minutes.

Sometimes it was only a 1-minute prep (or less). Super nice!

Lindsey, the meals really were tasty for being pre-packaged and I didn’t see anything weird among the list of ingredients. Always a good sign!

Thanks! It was an easy one to write. Those meals would be my first choice among all those out there.

I’m crazy impressed with how it looks when it’s delivered. NOTABLY different than those bulk frozen grocery store meals. While I’ve done those in the past, and am not against them, this looks head and shoulders better quality. Cool.

I’ve done those frozen meals in the past too, but there’s something about fresh food that tastes so much better.

The presentation of the food delivered looked very decent. Adding to that, they’re properly labeled. I’m impressed. How’s the taste? I hope it’s not compromised.

The taste really was very good. I enjoyed each meal I tasted, which was not the case for others I’ve tried.
